I was expecting a nice stay (this is the MGM Grand, after all), but this was a lot more pleasant than even I had expcected.
Overall, it is a beautiful casino that is very accommodating and not wanting to upset the patrons at any cost. The table minimum was $15 until about 10:00 am, then it went to $25. Again, surprised that the table staff did not attempt to correct any of these behaviors. There was also quite a bit of foul language at the table and no one ever asked the patrons to tone it down. I was shocked at how accommodating the staff was at the craps table. The pit crew accommodated and acquiesced to every challenge. Also, I witnessed at least 5 arguments where the gambler insisted they had made a certain bet and argued with the dealers. I never heard the dealer or pit boss correct the shooter. Some of the rollers were doing things that are frowned upon in Atlantic City or Las Vegas, for example, taking an inordinate amount of time to set the dice, throwing the dice with an unusually high arc, or throwing the dice without hitting the back wall. The dealers are exceptionally friendly and very patient with the customers. They had four craps tables open and they were all fairly full.
I went to the MGM two days in a row on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
